Coastal Systems International, Inc. provided coastal engineering and construction administration services for a series of nearshore breakwaters and a T-head groin fronting the Almond Beach Resort shoreline located in Barbados.
The resort shoreline was erosional and losing precious beachfront area. To stabilize the beach, four (4) nearshore attached breakwaters and a low-crested T-head groin were designed and constructed along the project shoreline. As part of the design, Coastal Systems performed REF-DIF wave numerical modeling to determine the local offshore and nearshore wave conditions. Based on these results, the structures were designed to optimize the beach and shoreline stabilization.
We constructed a complete offshore mooring system for Royal Caribbean in Labadee, Haiti.
