Ft Myers Boat Club, Florida

Fort Myers Boatclub is a 26-acre marina located off the Caloosahatchee River in Fort Myers, Florida. The former Deep Lagoon Marina will be redeveloped into 340 dry slips and 95 wet slips. The marina will include a service repair center with a 75-ton Travelift. The site will include commercial space, offices, retail space, fuel dock and restaurant.

Coastal Systems was retained to design the following marine structures:

  • 3,200 linear feet of steel sheet piling with concrete cap
  • 1,000 linear feet of vinyl sheet piling
  • Flushing culverts
  • Dry storage forklift launching pile-supported platforms
  • A 75-ton marine Travelift concrete piers
  • Mangrove planters

Coastal Systems also provided marine environmental consulting services to establish the Environmental Compliance Officer (ECO) position for the facility that was required by the environmental permits. The eradication of exotic species were monitored on the Project site and monitoring reports were prepared. After the project is completed, monitoring reports will be completed in accordance with the wetland mitigation and monitoring plan for the facility, and the reports will be submitted to the DEP.
