Coastal Systems International, Inc. provided coastal and structural engineering services for the design and construction of a swimming pier, fishing pier and platform at the Wyndham Casa Marina Hotel. Soil borings were obtained to assist in the preliminary and final designs, which were based upon a conceptual design as illustrated in previously approved DEP (Department of Environmental Protection) permit sketches. The final design consisted of concrete piling and caps with a combination of precast concrete panel and IPE wood decking. Boat slips were added at the end of the pier. Coastal Systems also provided assistance to the client in evaluating bids and awarding the construction contract. Coastal Systems provided construction administration services to ensure the project was completed in compliance with the approved plans.
