PROJECTS
Cap Cana, Dominican Republic
Cap Cana is on the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic, near Punta Cana. Coastal Systems has been retained to design the coastal and marina improvements. The 1.25-mile Grand Canal will moor yachts up to 200 feet, with 13 feet of draft to accommodate mega-yachts. The inland design is the first in the Dominican Republic and will provide protection for moored vessels while preserving the natural beauty of the beach. Coastal Systems has provided the necessary field investigations and surveys, as well as a comprehensive coastal engineering analysis. Currently, the project is in the construction phase for the coastal/marine facilities and Coastal Systems is providing design-build services:
The excavation of the Phase I Marina, basin according to the construction methodology proposed by Coastal Systems has allowed the Client to build over 20 miles of road within the project at substantially decreased cost.
