Boating and Waterways Planning from Stem to Stern II

Clearwater Beach Marriott Suites on Sand Key, May 15-17, 2012

From Stem to Stern II will bring together all sectors of Florida’s boating and waterway community.

Planners, resource managers, waterway users, marina operators, industry reps, harbor masters, city managers, elected officials, law enforcement, policy makers, researchers — here’s your opportunity to learn, discuss and network with your colleagues as we navigate boating and waterways management in Florida.

Florida’s economic well-being is linked to its freshwater, coastal and marine resources. We must balance the economic and environmental vitality of Florida’s waterfront communities – a challenge that is complicated by rapid population growth and an increase in water-related activity.

Penny Cutt will be presenting a paper called “Good Mooring to You: Jensen Beach Managed Mooring Field”

Penny Cutt holds a B.S. in agricultural operations management from the University of Florida, and a M.S. in marine biology and coastal zone management from Nova Southeastern University. Prior to joining Coastal Systems in 2007, she had 13 years experience in the field of environmental monitoring, assessment, planning and regulatory permitting at the local, state and federal levels. Cutt is the regional manager of Coastal Systems’ West Palm Beach office, where she manages workflow and product delivery in both the West Palm Beach and Coral Gables offices. She identifies key issues and project needs to achieve environmentally sustainable ecosystem solutions on beach, marina, and other open water projects.
