Blue Green Diamond, Florida

At 45 stories, these luxury towers are the world's tallest oceanfront residential buildings. In addition to the towers, the property includes a three-story health club and spa, covered garages, two community pools, a pool side café, cabanas, volleyball courts, jogging trails, and a children’s tot lot.

Coastal Systems International, Inc. obtained all the necessary permits for the towers and the auxiliary structures, including construction, coastal construction, and marine turtle lighting. Coastal Systems also worked with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), providing analysis and other back-up, in order to ensure that the shear wall percentage necessary for the proposed design was approved.

In addition to obtaining the regulatory permits, Coastal Systems designed the beach access with gazebo and dune restoration. Civil drawings included paving, grading, and drainage as well as utility service connections that tied into the 12” water main extension, which upgraded the city water and sewer supply. Our civil engineers also reviewed the dewatering study submitted by another engineering firm. They performed a site visit to inspect the conditions, including the installed cut-off wall. The MODFLOW computer modeling software was used to confirm the results.
