Grove Harbour, Florida

Coastal Systems International, Inc. assisted the City of Miami in developing a new marina that would accommodate potential upland uses. The 110-slip conceptual design provided for transient charter vessels and long-term docking, as well as the relocation of the travel lifts for the upland drydock facility. The design also Grove Harbour, Floridaanticipated future development by accommodating an additional 28 slips. A wave baffling system, which minimized wave energy transmission into the facility, was designed and placed parallel to the property bulkhead. The scope of work for this project included current measurements and water circulation studies, water quality analysis, model testing of wave transmission into the facility, environmental permitting, and the design of a 600-foot bulkhead to replace and stabilize the existing shoreline.

Construction plans and specifications were prepared and construction administration services provided. The marina is now called Grove Harbour.
